Snow showers turned into 4-5 inches of winter wonderland overnight. Although the hens aren’t happy, the rest of the Henbogle crew are pleased that a white Christmas is in the offing.

Wasn’t this a nice coastal storm of sticky snow to create a winter wonderland?

I just discovered your blog the other day and read through the pages about your hoop house with interest. They got me to thinking…
Beautiful photos – I especially like the bottle tree with the cairn.

A very green/brown Christmas Eve here in NB, not a speck of snow.
Merry Christmas!

clear blue sky in Tel Aviv, but we still had the xmass dinner, with socks filled with candy to the kids. (we decided xmass it to good to avoid, and I had my Christian father as an excuse)

Loved finding a Maine blog. I now live in Colorado but do miss the home ground. Hope you ride out today’s storm safely. And that the hens do too.

Thanks for the list of Maine blogs. As we are–finally–mid snow storm, I will have no excuse today for wandering out of the house and will browse contentedly, tea at the ready. A Colorado friend is about to take to the streets dressed as a chicken to enlist support for an ordinance allowing Denverites to keep up to six chickens per household. Wonderful idea. Did you know that the “Maine” poet Robert Creeley once raised show chickens? I love that.
