Holy snow shovel, Batman, that’s a lot of snow!

According to the National Weather Service office in Gray, Maine, my little town got the most snow in yesterday’s blizzard:  17.5 inches.  It is amazing my little hoophouse didn’t collapse.

That is a lot of snow! Good thing it was light. In my neck of the woods—Winthrop—I think we got about a foot. At least that’s how much it seemed to be as we shoveled the driveway and a path to the woodpile. Let it snow! It’s January. Glad your hoophouse didn’t collapse.

I was worried about our greenhouses yesterday as well. And the snow was heavier this morning than last night after it compacted itself… pant pant! Glad to hear the hendome and the hoophouse are ok!

I credit the excellence of design and construction, and the selection of such high-quality materials! We got about the same amount of snow here.

Lots of snow here too. Due to the wind I had to redo the paths I had snow blown yesterday for the girls. They are hesitant to venture out, but once enticed they make a few laps around the house. A little exercise and fresh air is good for their mental health. Glad to hear the hoop houses survived the storm.

We had 22 inches this winter! Can you believe it : ) ? Happy New Year!! What kind of saw is Dan using when cutting the peg board? You and Dan might like this. http://beekman1802.com/general/a-homemade-dibble.html

    Here is to a speedy Spring : ) !

Dan used our table saw to cut the pegboard.

Thanks for the link to the other dibble design. That is the design I had seen before, but as I don’t have a drill press, had not been able to replicate. The peg board strategy (and fluted dowels) made the project 1000 times easier, especially for those with limited access to tools.

I am enjoying everyone’s snow pictures and reports – and enjoying even more not having to cope with it all! LOL! Hurrah for the sturdy hoophouse that is holding up to all of that!
