Dan and I celebrated a milestone this week. Ten years ago this morning, we ate wedding cake for breakfast on Maine’s gorgeous Popham Beach the day after our we exchanged vows in our backyard amidst friends and family on a beautiful August Saturday.
Ten years later, my friend Cathy, who made our gorgeous and delicious wedding cake, presented us with an anniversary reprise, which we enjoyed this morning with Cathy and her family on our deck for breakfast. It tasted just as good as I remembered it, and is a great reminder of the sweet life we have together.
We spent the day yesterday with my friend Ellen, enjoying a cruise and picnic lunch aboard the Casco Bay Ferry Aucocisco III as it traveled to Long, Great and Little Diamond Islands. After our cruise, we showed Ellen more of Maine’s lovely southern coastline before dropping her off at a friends. Dan and I then enjoyed a delicious dinner at a brewpub in an old mill before heading home to Henbogle. It was a lovely day.
Scenes from our celebrations and cruise on the Aucocisco are below.
